† boultel Obs. Also 5–6 bultell(e. [a. OF. *buletel, earlier buretel (now bluteau) meal-sieve; f. buleter, bureter (now bluter) to bolt v.1] A kind of cloth specially prepared for sifting; a sieve (= bolter1 2); hence degree of fineness as determined by the fineness of the sieve.
