punty, ponty Glass-making.|ˈpʌntɪ| Forms: 7 ponte, 7–9 -ee, 9 punty, -ee, ponty. [app. ad. F. pontil: see pontil.] 1. An iron rod used in glass-blowing: see quots. Called also punt, punto, pointel, pontil.
