1. Silken, silk; also as n., a silk fabric.
1599Hakluyt Voy. II. ii. 90 Let vs proceed vnto the Silke or Bombycine fleece, whereof there is great plentie in China. 1730–6Bailey, Bombycine, Silk Yarn or silken Cloth, silken.
2. Of cotton, of paper made of cotton.
