‖ Saprolegnia Bot.|sæprəʊˈlɛgnɪə| [mod.L., f. Gr. σαπρό-ς putrid + λέγν-ον border.] A genus of fungi (the type of the N.O. Saprolegnieæ or Saprolegniaceæ), which chiefly infests the bodies of fish.
