The name of the Santa Gertrudis division of the King Ranch, Kingsville, Texas, used to designate a breed of large red-coated beef cattle suitable for hot climates, developed there between 1910 and 1940 by crossing Brahmans and Shorthorns; an animal of this breed. Also attrib.
