Du. zaffraan yellow.] A large evergreen forest tree, Cassine crocea, of the family Celastraceæ, found in coastal areas of south-eastern Africa, and bearing yellowish bark and clusters of greenish flowers followed by white plum-shaped fruit; also, the hard light brown wood of this tree.
