ryebuck, a. (adv.) and int. slang (chiefly Austral.). Now obsolescent.|ˈraɪbʌk| Also ribuck, rybuck, rye buck, etc. [Origin uncertain: perh. ad. G. reibach, var. of rebbach profit, ad. Yiddish (Heb.) revaḥ: cf. rybeck.] A. adj. Good, excellent; genuine; ryebuck shearer, an expert or ‘gun’ shearer (see gun n. 14). Also as adv.
