rutherfordine Min.|ˈrʌðəfədiːn| [ad. G. rutherfordin (W. Marckwald 1906, in Centralbl. f. Mineral. 763); see Rutherford + -ine5.] An orthorhombic uranyl carbonate, UO2.CO3, found as yellow fibrous masses, esp. in association with uraninite in East Africa.
