A pidgin of Russian and Norwegian used by fishermen.

General Linguistics v. 155 Russenorsk, the product of contacts between Russian and Norwegian fishermen on the shores of the Arctic Ocean, which had an ephemeral existence but has been adequately described. 1974L. Todd Pidgins & Creoles i. 6 Russenorsk, a pidgin now almost extinct, arose from the contact of two Indo-European languages, Russian and Norwegian, as a means of facilitating communication between Russian and Norwegian fishermen. 1974Encycl.
