Bembo Typogr.|ˈbɛmbəʊ|
The name given to a type face cut in 1929 by the Monotype Corporation after that used by Aldus Manutius (see Aldine) in his edition of De ætna, a tract by the Italian cardinal and scholar Pietro Bembo (1470–1547).
