psyllid Ent.|ˈsɪlɪd| Also Psyllid. [ad. mod.L. Psyllid-æ, family name, f. psylla: see -id3.] A jumping plant-louse belonging to the family Psyllidæ, which includes several species that damage plants by causing galls or spreading virus diseases. Also attrib.
