Roumeliote|ruːˈmiːlɪəʊt| Also Rum-, -iot. [ad. mod.Gr. Ῥουµελιότης: see def. and -ote.] A native of Roumelia, or that part of the Balkan peninsula lying immediately to the north of the Morea and ægean. Also attrib. or as adj. Normally used of the area corresponding to Aetolia and Acarnania. Cf. Roumelian a. (n.)
