pseudodox, n.|ps-, ˈsjuːdədɒks| [ad. Gr. ψευδόδοξ-ος holding a false opinion, ψευδοδοξία a false opinion or notion; f. ψευδο- pseudo- + δόξα opinion.] A false or erroneous opinion. So ˈpseudodox, † pseudoˈdoxal adjs., of the nature of, or holding, a false opinion; ˈpseudodoxy [after orthodoxy, etc.], the holding of false opinions.
