The Spanish name; not now in English use.
1728Chambers Cycl. s.v. Silver, The Rossicler is another black Mineral distinguished by whetting and rubbing it against Iron, which turns it red. 1780J. T. Dillon Trav. Spain (1781) 318 One very curious specimen, like an incrustation of rubies, called Rosicler by mineralogists, from its rose-colour appearance.
