Banksian, a.|ˈbæŋksɪən| [f. the name Banks: see below and -ian.] Epithet of: (a) a Chinese species of climbing rose, bearing small white or yellow flowers in clusters, named after Lady Banks; (b) the Labrador, Grey, or Jack Pine, Pinus banksiana, named after Sir Joseph Banks.
