ballyhoo of blazes Naut. slang. Also ballyhoo. [Etym. of first element uncertain, but perh. same word as ballahou (see Amer. Speech (1945) XX. 184 ff.).] Sailors' term of contempt for a vessel which they dislike for any reason.
