An instrument for recording the movements of the body caused by ejection of blood from the ventricles at each beat of the heart. Hence baˌllistoˈcardiogram, the record made by such an instrument; baˌllistocardioˈgraphic a., of or pertaining to a ballistocardiograph or ballistocardiography; baˌllistocardiˈography, the use of a ballistocardiograph.
