† Prutenic, a. (n.) Obs.|pruːˈtɛnɪk| [ad. med.L. Prutenic-us, f. Prut(h)en-i Prussians: see -ic. Cf. F. pruténique.] Prussian; in Prutenic tables, the Copernican planetary tables published in 1551 by Erasmus Reinhold (Cælestium Motuum Prutenicæ Tabulæ); so named in compliment to Albert, Duke of Prussia. Also as n. in pl. Pruˈtenics, the Prutenic tables.
