ˈbag-worm U.S. [bag n. 1.] The larva of American lepidoptera of the family Psychidæ (esp. Thyridopteryx and Œceticus), injurious to trees, which builds as a portable habitation a silken case or sac covered with little twigs and leaves. Called also basket-worm, drop-worm.
