bael, bel|bɛl| Also 7 beele, bille, 9 bhel, bēl, bél. [Hindi bel, Marathi bail:- Skr. bilva, vilva.] An Indian tree, ægle marmelos, or its aromatic fruit; the Bengal quince. Also, the medicinal extract of the fruit.
