ˈroentgenite Min. Also röntgenite. [f. Roentgen, roentgen + -ite1.] A rhombohedral fluorocarbonate of cerium, lanthanum, and calcium, Ca2(Ce,La)3(CO3)5F3, found as small yellow or brown crystals in association with other rare-earth minerals at Narsarsuk, Greenland.
