Rinyo–Clacton, a. Archæol.|ˈrɪnjəʊˈklæktən| [f. the place-names Rinyo, Orkney + Clacton, Essex.] Of, pertaining to, or designating the culture represented by Late Neolithic grooved ware first discovered at Rinyo and Clacton.

Defined originally by ‘Grooved ware’..the culture has a curious distribution, mainly concentrated in two separate areas, one in south-east England and the other in the Orkneys, though intermediate sites are now being discovered. 1963E.
