autocorrelation|ˌɔːtəʊkɒrɪˈleɪʃən| [f. auto-1 + correlation.] A correlation between all the elements of a series and those separated from them by a given interval (see quot. 1951). Also attrib. Hence ˌautoˈcorrelator, an apparatus for computing autocorrelations.
