aˈttermine, v. ? Obs. Also 5 aterm-. [a. OF. atermine-r, ad. L. atterminā-re, f. at- = ad- to + termināre to set bounds to, f. terminus bound, limit. See at- prefix3.] To settle the limit or term of, fix a future date for; esp. to adjourn payment of (a debt) till a day fixed. Hence aˈttermining vbl. n. = next word.
