‖ riem S. African.|riːm, rɪm| Also reim, rheim, rim. [Du. riem, = G. riemen (OHG. riumo, riemo, OS. reomo, OE. réoma: see rim n.2).] A long strip or thong of undressed leather. Also attrib., as riem-chain.
