Fischer von Waldheim 1809, in Notice des Fossiles du Gouvernement de Moscou 35), f. rhynchon- (irreg. f. Gr. ῥύγχος snout) + -ella, dim. suffix (see -el2): see -id3.] An articulate brachiopod of the family Rhynchonellidæ, whose members are found as both fossils and living animals.
