astomous, a.|ˈæstəməs| [f. Gr. ἄστοµ-ος mouthless (f. ἀ priv. + στόµα, -µατ-, mouth) + -ous.] Having no mouth, astomatous; applied chiefly in Bot. to those Mosses in which the urn does not open by the detachment of the operculum.
