rhinophyma Med.|raɪnəʊˈfaɪmə| Pl. rhinophymata, -phymas. [mod.L. (coined in Ger. by H. von Hebra 1881, in Vierteljahresschrift f. Dermatol. VIII. 603), f. Gr. ῥῑν-ός, ῥίς nose + L. phȳma swelling, tumour (ad. Gr. ϕῦµα growth, tumour).] Chronic enlargement and reddening of the nose with hypertrophy of its sebaceous glands.
