rhexigenous, a. Bot.|rɛkˈsɪdʒɪnəs| [f. Gr. ῥῆξις breaking (see next) + -genous.] Of an intercellular space in plant tissue: formed by the spontaneous mechanical rupture of cells. Hence rheˈxigenously adv., rheˈxigeny.
