A form of dichromatic colour-blindness marked by an insensitivity to red and an inability to distinguish between red, yellow, and green hues.

II. 371/1 In..the so-called red-blindness, the red end of the spectrum is shortened, and the maximum brightness is further towards the green (protanopia). 1923L. C.
