arthrobranch, n. Zool. Brit. |ˈɑːθrə(ʊ)braŋk|, U.S. |ˈɑrθroʊˌbræŋk| [‹ arthro- comb. form + -branch comb. form. Compare earlier arthrobranchia n.] In some crustaceans: a gill attached to the articulating membrane of the basal joint of a thoracic appendage with the body.
