‖ reticella|retiˈtʃɛlla| [It., dim. of rete net: see rete.] A lace-like fabric produced esp. in Venice in the 15th, 16th, and 17th centuries. Also used attrib. to designate the type of geometric pattern characteristic of this fabric. Cf. next.
