Premarin Pharm.|prɪˈmɛərɪn| Also premarin. [f. pregnant a.2 + mare1 + -in1.] A proprietary name for a mixture of œstrogenic compounds obtained from the urine of pregnant mares and used in the treatment of various conditions, esp. those caused by or involving œstrogen deficiency.
