a. Situated in front of the frontal bone of the skull.
b. Situated in the fore part of the frontal lobe of the brain.

B. n. (ellipt. for prefrontal bone.) A portion of the ethmoid, which forms a distinct bone in some reptiles, batrachians, and fishes.
