post-oral, a. Anat. and Zool.|-ˈɔərəl| [f. post- B. 2 + oral.] Situated behind the mouth: applied to (theoretical) segments of the head in arthropods, and to certain visceral arches in the embryo of vertebrates. Opp. to pre-oral.
