porose, a.|pɒˈrəʊs| [ad. L. type *porōs-us (in mod.L.); in It. and Sp. poroso.] Containing or abounding in pores; porous; now rare exc. in Zool., said of corals of the division Perforata, as opposed to the Aporosa, and of the sculpture of insects dotted or pitted as if with minute holes.
