Pooterish, a.|ˈpuːtərɪʃ| [f. the name Pooter (see below) + -ish1.] Resembling, characteristic of, or associated with Charles Pooter, an assistant in a mercantile firm, whose mundane domestic, social, and business troubles are the subject of the fictional Diary of a Nobody by George and Weedon Grossmith (1892).
