A. adj. Pertaining to the pons Varolii (see pons 2): = pontal, pontile, pontine.

B. n. Dentistry. An artificial tooth that forms part of a dental bridge, being held in place by attachment to its neighbouring teeth, and not fixed directly to the jaw.
