polytrochal, a. Zool.|pəˈlɪtrəkəl| [f. mod.L. polytrochus (Ehrenberg) (f. Gr. πολυ-, poly- + τροχός wheel: see below) + -al1.] a. Having several circlets of cilia, as the larva of a polychæte worm. b. Belonging to the division Polytrocha of rotifers, in which the trochal disk or ‘wheel’ has several lobes. So polytroch |ˈpɒlɪtrɒk|, a polytrochal animal; poˈlytrochous a. = polytrochal.
