‖ polysarcia|pɒlɪˈsɑːsɪə| [late L. (Cæl. Aurel., 6th c.), a. Gr. πολυσαρκία fleshiness, f. πολύσαρκος very fleshy, f. πολυ- poly- + σάρξ, σαρκ- flesh.] 1. Path. Excessive growth of flesh (or, loosely, of fat); corpulence, obesity.
