polyhalite Min.|pɒlɪˈhælaɪt| [ad. Ger. polyhalit (Stromeyer, 1818), f. Gr. πολυ-, poly- + ἅλς salt: see -ite1.] Hydrous sulphate of calcium, potassium, and magnesium, usually occurring in fibrous masses of a red or yellowish colour.
