poliorcetic, a.|pɒlɪɔːˈsɛtɪk| [ad. Gr. πολιορκητικ-ός, f. πολιορκητής besieger, f. πολιορκεῖν to besiege a city, f. πόλι-ς city + ἕρκ-ος fence, enclosure. So F. poliorcétique.] Of or pertaining to the besieging of cities or fortresses.
