ˈpoddish, poddidge Now dial. Also 6 podech, 6–7 podge, 9 dial. podditch. [Altered form of potage, pottage, perh. due to some analogy: cf. poddinger.] = pottage, porridge; now chiefly applied to oatmeal porridge.
