plesiomorphous, a. Cryst.|ˌpliːsɪəʊˈmɔːfəs| [f. plesio- + Gr. µορϕή form + -ous.] Very near in form; crystallizing in forms closely resembling but not identical with each other. So ˌplesioˈmorphic a. in same sense; ˌplesioˈmorphism, the fact or condition of being plesiomorphous.
