Plesianthropus Palæont.|pliːzɪˈænθrəpəs| [mod.L. (R. Broom 1938, in Nature 27 Aug. 377/1), f. plesio- + Gr. ἄνθρωπος man.] An African fossil hominid of the genus formerly so called, now usually included in the species Australopithecus africanus.
