Platonize, v.|ˈpleɪtənaɪz| [ad. Gr. πλατωνίζειν (Origen), f. Πλάτων Plato: see -ize. So F. platoniser (a 1587 in Godefroy).] 1. intr. To follow the doctrine of Plato; to philosophize after the manner of Plato; to be a Platonist.
