plansifter|ˈplænsɪftə(r)| [f. plan n. + sifter.] A machine consisting of a mechanically agitated set of superimposed flat sieves of differing mesh, used in flour milling for separating and grading the broken grain. Registered in the U.S. as a proprietary name.
