placodioid, a. Bot.|pləˈkəʊdɪɔɪd| [f. generic name Placodium (E. Acharius 1794, in Kungl. Vetenskapsakad. Handlingar XV. 248), f. as placode + -oid.] Of a lichen thallus, disc-shaped, with plicate lobes at the circumference.
