Pimm's|pɪmz| Also Pimms, (erron.) Pim. [Proprietary term, f. the name of the proprietor of the restaurant where these drinks were created.] Used to designate any of four spirit-based mixed drinks (‘cups’), taken neat or used as a basis for long drinks; also, a drink of one of these. Also ellipt. Where no number is specified, the reference is usually understood to be to Pimm's Number One Cup, which is gin-based.
