resteˈnosis Med. [re-.] A recurrence of stenosis, esp. of a heart valve after surgery to correct it.

LXX. 816/2 Restenosis [of the ear canal] is very common.., especially in those cases where pneumatization is poor and the lateral sinus is abnormally anterior. 1980Brit. Med. Jrnl. 12 Jan. 62/1 Many of these patients will have had a closed mitral valvotomy 10 to 30 years before, and the term ‘mitral restenosis’ is loosely used to describe the recurrence of their symptoms. |
